United Group Alatau brings together companies operating in the banking, investment and insurance sectors. This website provides information about the Group, its companies and its areas of activity. Cooperation proposals and other enquiries can be sent through the contact form.
The Company was formerly named First Heartland Securities JSC.

The remaining subsidiaries are not participants of the banking conglomerate.

Role in the conglomerate

Parent organization
As the parent organization of the banking conglomerate, the Company manages the conglomerate’s capital adequacy on a consolidated basis and ensures compliance with prudential requirements established by the National Bank of Kazakhstan for banking conglomerates: total capital adequacy to risk-weighted assets and contingent obligations, maximum exposure to a single borrower relative to total capital for related parties, third parties, and unsecured loans.

Approvals and licence
The Company is a banking holding that received regulatory approval by Resolution No. 218 of the Management Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 15 November 2017 for the acquisition of First Heartland Bank JSC (formerly RBS/ABN AMRO (Kazakhstan)) and by Resolution No. 24 of the Management Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 1 February 2019 for the acquisition of Alatau City Bank JSC (formerly Tsesnabank).
In accordance with the order of the Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market dated 2 July 2026 No. B-128, the Company was issued a licence to carry out transfer agency activities in the securities market dated 3 July 2026 No. 3.1.5.6.
